PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Agribusiness industry is seeking aggressive young people with specialized training to serve modern agriculture. Many of the Agricultural Industry graduates are working as key employees in feed, grain, and chemical firms as custom applicators and field scouts. Many of the recent graduates majored in agribusiness in order to obtain a good business background.

Advancement opportunities are excellent for those who prove themselves on the job. Initiative and ability determine how fast progress can be made to a management position.

This 3 semester technical training program consists of on campus and placement training for a total of 48 credits. A certificate is granted at the completion of the program requirements.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Agricultural Industry graduates have no trouble finding jobs in a growing industry. The program has served the agriculture sector for 50 years and a large number of graduates occupy key management roles in the industry in Michigan and surrounding states. The program has industry support that is unequaled.

An excellent scholarship program is available through the Michigan Agri Business Association.
