PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Electrical Technology is an electrical apprenticeship training program covering commercial, farm, residential, and light industrial wiring. Students study the latest National Electrical Code, electrical fundamentals and solid state electronic applications in agriculture, housing, and industry. Advanced technical training is important for a successful career as an electrician in agriculture and industry.

Training includes residential, commercial, farm and industrial wiring with an emphasis on control system design, motor operation and application, solid state electronics, personal computer operations, and lighting design.

This program is recognized by the Electrical Administrative Board, Bureau of Construction Codes, State of Michigan, and the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training of the U.S. Department of Labor.

A certificate is granted at the completion of the program requirements.
