Birth Management Clinic for Sheep Producers

Are you interested in learning how to improve birth management during the challenging winter season? If so, sign up now for the birth management clinic for new or less experienced sheep producers. Shepherds will spend an afternoon with Dr. Richard Ehrhardt, Small Ruminant Specialist, learning how to improve their skills and decision-making through discussion and hands-on activities. Registration fee is $25 with a limit of 20 partipants on each day.
41st Annual Spartan Stampede Rodeo

The MSU Rodeo Club is celebrating the 41st anniversary of the Spartan Stampede Rodeo. The rodeo is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association as well as the Mid-States Rodeo Association, has performances on Friday, 2/19 at 8 p.m., Saturday, 2/20 at both 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday 2/21 at 2 p.m.

2010 4-H Veterinary Science Leaders Workshop

The annual teen and adult leaders workshop will be held at Kettunen Center. Registration is available through your local MSU Extension office. Workshop will include sessions on; Real Situations in Veterinary Medicine, Birthing Difficulties for Large Animals, Developing your Leadership Skills, Health and Care for your Dog, Things you need to know about Horses, Poisonous Plants and other Things that make your goat sick and a host of other sessions. If you'd like to know more about the dairy industry, sign up to attend this conference in your County Extension office. You'll learn abut dairy managment topics including dairy cattle nutrition, health, reproduction, and cattle evaluation. Practice for state dairy managment contests such as the skill-a-thon and quiz bowls that focus on dairy cattle health. You'll also tour area farms.
