Featured program during ANR Week will teach woodland owners how to better manage and maintain land

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Woodland owners or those interested in owning forested land will learn how to carefully manage their woodlands to secure the future health of their land. A program, “A ‘Toolbox’ of Opportunities for Family Forest Owners,” takes place March 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on Michigan State University’s campus in East Lansing, Mich. during ANR (Agriculture and Natural Resources) Week.

To ensure your woodland is a sound, long-term investment, come fill your “toolbox” with resources. Those looking to enhance forest management, pursue emerging markets or both will benefit from this workshop.

Even if you use your land for lifestyle or recreational reasons and not for financial gain, tapping new opportunities may ensure it is around for future generations.
