MSU Farms and the Greater Lansing Food Bank team up to provide fresh food to local families
Each year close to 70,000 lbs. of fresh food from MSU farms is shared with Lansing area families in need. The Greater Lansing Food Bank provides volunteers through its Garden Project Gleaning Program to harvest surplus produce from the on-campus farms and distributes it to low-income families, individuals and agencies that serve those in need.
MSU dairy project promotes economic, environmental sustainability at KBSThe W.K. Kellogg Biological Station (KBS) dairy herd hoofs it to a new pasture-based facility featuring automated milking stalls and energy-efficient design.
