CRIS partners with the graduate program in Environmental and Integrative Toxicological Sciences (EITS) to provide doctoral training in food and ingredient safety. The EITS Program, in conjunction with CRIS, provides customized education in mechanisms of toxicity, ingredient safety, regulatory and public health policy and risk assessment.

The goals of CRIS training are to prepare students to:

  • serve the consumer products industry as specially trained industrial toxicologists
  • participate as government scientists in the development and implementation of regulatory and public health policy, or
  • become the next generation of educators to address ingredient safety.
