MSU Center for Regional Food Systems is proud to continue its annual sponsorship of the Michigan Family Farms Conference in 2018.

 

The conference offers beginning, small-scale, and culturally diverse farmers a chance to network, learn, and build sustainable family farms. It is an energizing, hands-on event customized for this important audience. We hope you will join us!

The 2018 conference theme is: “Cultivating a Thriving Community... From the Soil on Up”. Topics include: specialty crop production, labor laws, and how to choose a market. 

Conference highlights:

  • Musical introduction to the keynote and award ceremony by the local Suzuki Academy
  • Optional lunch time tour of the Food Innovation Center and Food Hub (Space is limited!)
  • Full-day youth program
  • The conference will be a Certified Local Food Event through Taste the Local Difference 

 

Early Bird participant registration deadline is January 3.

Sponsorship/Exhibitor registration deadline is January 12.
