On Thursday, April 23, 2015, US Secretary of Agriculture Thomas J. Vilsack will announce new partnerships with agricultural producers and forest land owners to reduce harmful carbon emissions and alleviate the impact of climate change. Farmers, ranchers, and forest land owners are seeing firsthand the impacts of increased pests, droughts, floods, wildfires, and other extreme weather events, and are taking exceptional actions to address these threats. USDA is committed to helping producers and landowners respond to the challenges brought on by a changing climate.
