Agriculture, Food and Human Values Society Conference

The Agriculture, Food and Human Values Society and the Society for the Study of Food and Society conference begins Wednesday, June 19 at the Kellogg Center. It runs through Saturday, June 22. Over 350 people have already registered. Support for this conference comes from the Center for Regional Food Systems, the MSU Vice Presidents for Outreach and for Graduate Studies, three Endowed Chairs in the Department of Community Sustainability, and the Colleges of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Social Science and Arts and Letters). On Wednesday, many of the attendees are participating in one-day field trips in Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and to a farm in Bangor. The opening reception will be held at the Broad Art Museum with music by the Ukelele Kings. Hi Fitzgerald will welcome the participants at the luncheon on Thursday at the Kellogg Center.
