February 23, 2017 noon- 1p.m.

The Center for Community Progress is kicking off Cornerstone, a new monthly webinar series that equips you with the building blocks to understand and solve tough challenges related to property vacancy, abandonment, and deterioration. The first webinar in the series will be: Land Banking 101. All webinar’s in the series will be held from 12:00 - 1:00PM.

This webinar will share the history of land banking and help participants understand the powers and functions of land banks that distinguish them from other tools. Participants will learn when and how land banks can be most effective, with real-world examples of how land banks of varying sizes have been adapted to different local contexts. They’ll also develop a clearer sense of what land banks can and cannot be expected to accomplish, and how a land bank can round out other revitalization efforts. Read the full description of the webinar on the Center for Community Progress event page.
