Covenversation with Students: Jim Wallis

Date: December 12, 2014
Location: Covenversation with Students: Jim Wallis Broad Art Museum, 547 East Circle Drive East Lansing, MI 48824

Time: 3:30-4:30 p.m.

This weekend, one of the persons receiving an honorary doctorate from MSU is a Social Science graduate: Jim Wallis. He is the President of Sojourners (a progressive Christian community based in Washington, DC that addresses social justice), a New York Times bestselling author addressing politics and religion, a guest on the Jon Stewart Show and a writer for the Huffington Post. He recently led a march of ministers in Ferguson, MO, to promote social justice.

The University has encouraged and the College of Social Science is supporting a “conversation with students” so that students can meet and dialogue with Wallis. This is scheduled for this Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the MSU Broad Art Museum (on Grand River Ave.), and includes free refreshments. All students are invited and encouraged to participate in this special event.
