January 17, 2018 1:00PM - 3:00PM
The Development Research Lunch Seminar will hold its first meeting of the semester on Wednesday, January 17 noon to 1 pm in Ag Hall Room 75. This lunch seminar is for students and faculty to present research in progress related to economic development. While the seminar is relatively informal, with some presentations on research in early phases, this also a great opportunity for practice job talks for job market candidates doing research in economic development. We therefore encourage job market candidates to use this opportunity to get constructive feedback on their job talks.
This semester, we plan to meet on the following Wednesdays:
1/17 AH75 – planning meeting
2/7 MA Koo Room - What is the Value of Quality: A case study in Nicaragua, Sean Posey (AFRE student)
2/21 AH75 – currently open time slot
3/21 AH75 – currently open time slot
4/4 MA Koo Room – currently open time slot
4/14 AH75 – currently open time slot
Please join us if you’d like, and be sure to email Maria Porter if you’d like to present sometime this semester or would like to be added to the group’s mailing list.
