Equine Education Day at Michigan State University

Location: Equine Education Day at Michigan State University MSU Horse Teaching and Research Facility

Please join us for an Equine Education Day at the MSU Horse Teaching and Research Center on April 30th 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The students will be using their sale horses for training demonstrations. Everything from halter breaking to starting horses under saddle will be taught. At lunch, the sale horses will be presented. Food will be available for purchase. 9:15 - 10:15    Equine Behavior - How do horses learn? - Dr. Camie Heleski

10:15 - 11:00  Halter breaking foals & fun things to do with yearlings - Paula Hitzler and students

11:00 - 12:15  Longing, Bitting & Long Lining

12:15 - 1:00    Lunch

1:00 - 1:30      Presentation of sale horses

1:30 - 2:30      The first ride

2:30 - 3:30      The next 30 rides

3:30 - 4:00      Open Barn
