The 2018 Great Lakes Lavender Growers’ Conference will address some of the most pressing issues in Midwestern lavender farming today. This conference is a one-day event targeted toward commercial lavender growers in the Great Lakes region – Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. This event is organized to advance networking opportunities for our grower members, to provide additional education on lavender farming and value-added agriculture, and to enhance the lavender industry. Our program comprises a number of expert-led general sessions, grower-driven roundtables and dynamic exhibits on lavender production, marketing, business management and essential oil distillation. Keynote Speaker, Paola Legarre, owner of Sage Creations Organic Lavender Farm in Palisade, Colorado, will speak on farm diversification strategies. To register, visit http://greatlakeslavendergrowers.org/. For questions, contact Wynne Wright at wrigh325@msu.edu.
