Michigan Chapter of ASLA: LA Bike Ride

Location: NW corner of the Broad Art Museum, MSU Campus, East Lansing

Join your fellow landscape architecture students and professionals for the inaugural bike ride tour of Lansing area cultural landscapes sponsored by the MiASLA. (Rain Date: May 6, 2016)

The plan is to use the River Trail and make a 15 mile ride with stops at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hawk Island Park and Hunter Park and then come back. This will take around 3 hours to do. 

There will be speakers who will give some history and design tips on, The Historical Legacy figures who helped build Lansing (Legendary Tombstones Mt. Hope Cemetery, Loretta Steinaway), urban snow park (Hawk Island Park, Pete Bosheff & Bob Ford) and urban agriculture – Farm to Fork in a public park (Hunter Park Community Gardens, Joan Sheldon) respectively. This will be the first LA Ride in the state of Michigan!
