March 10, 2017 6:33PM
- March 10, 2017 6:33PM 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Brody Complex, Michigan State University
This year’s program will highlight the many values of cover crops. The keynote speaker will discuss a long-term research project to show the various outcomes in organic cropping systems of different levels of inputs compared with conventional farming systems. The program will also offer presentations and discussions on cover crop management and options. To top off the day, participants can join in an analysis of what Michigan needs from cover crop research. This is a great opportunity for new and experienced organic farmers to come together with researchers and educators to learn and share their experiences with cover crops in their system. Cost is $25 for farmers and $30 for others, which includes lunch and breaks.
