Pullorum Certification Workshop

Date: March 10, 2015 - March 10, 2015
Location: MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education

8:30 a.m. ‒ noon

All poultry and game birds except waterfowl and pigeons are required to be blood tested for Pullorum disease before exhibition or movement within the state. Most states require that all poultry, including game birds, have a negative Pullorum test to enter. At this workshop, participants will learn how to do the test and how to fill out the associated paperwork. Then, they’ll perform the test. Participants should bring a writing utensil. All other necessary equipment and materials needed for testing will be provided.

The workshop will take place no matter the weather. The workshop is free; however, there is a $20 fee for a three-year certification, payable in cash or personal check at the door. Pre-registration is not necessary.
