22nd Annual Quiet Water Symposium

Date: March 4, 2017 - March 4, 2017
Time: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: 22nd Annual Quiet Water Symposium MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education

The Quiet Water Symposium brings an exciting line-up of speakers to the 2017 show. These include Cliff Jacobson, winner of the American Canoe Association’s Legends of Paddling Award, and Kevin Callan, one of only four Patrons of Paddle Canada. Also featured is Jim DuFresne, author of over 20 guidebooks covering Michigan, Alaska and New Zealand. New to the program for 2017 is Hap Wilson, recipient of the prestigious Bill Mason Award and author of twelve books. Returning after a two-year absence, Gary and Joanie McGuffin will inspire us all to re-connect with the natural world.

Last year, over 2,500 people participated in the Quiet Water Symposium. Over 150 exhibitors took part representing outdoor clubs, watershed groups, outfitters, boat builders, trails supporters, fishing groups, cycling organizations, hiking clubs and nature centers.

Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event. Show admission for adults is $10; students (with ID), $5; and children under 12 are free.

The Quiet Water Symposium is brought to you by volunteers from the Quiet Water Society, a nonprofit Lansing-based organization. The society uses proceeds from the event to support a grant program that helps to fund environmental and conservation efforts in the Great Lakes area.
