Sustainable Parks Planning Reception and Program

Michigan State University and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources are co-hosting the Sustainable Parks Planning end of semester reception and program on Monday, Dec. 9, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The event will take place in the Atrium of the Justin S. Morrill Hall of Agriculture, formerly known as Agriculture Hall, on the campus of MSU in East Lansing. Students from the School of Planning, Design and Construction; and the Department of Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies will present their work from the Fall 2013 Semester on the DNR-MSU Sustainability Partnership. Presentation topics will cover the following:
- Bass River State Recreation Area Identity and Branding;
- Design Implementation: Ionia State Recreation Area Trail Segment;
- Interior Design Programming: Ralph A. MacMullen Center Kitchen, Dining Room and Reception Redesign; and
- Integrated Sustainable Built Environment: Ralph A. MacMullen Center LEED Lodging.
The event will also feature a refreshments breakout session where the students will show posters from their projects detailing more particulars of their work.
Suggest parking is in East Lansing’s “Hamster Cage” or one of the City’s parking structures and walking to the Morril Hall of Agriculture. Click here for directions.
