December 2004 Meeting Minutes

Presidential Business (Rolo):

--Deadling of travel grants for the spring semester: January 10th 2005

--HOGs Plant and T-shirt Sale still has a few slots awaiting volunteers: Monday, December 20th 11am-1pm AND Tuesday, December 21st 10am-11am

Faculty Meeting Update (Chrislyn):

--"7 essential elements" are now in place for Master's students as well.
They have 1 year to complete the proposal, which is to be less detailed
than the proposal written by Ph.D. students.  Professors are supposed to
work closely with Master's students to complete this.
--Final exams must be given at the scheduled time.  They cannot be given
early anymore.

--Lots of talk about budget cuts.

GPC Update (Dario):
-- Please refer to his e-mail today regarding the new graduate website.

Miscellaneous Comments:
People prefer to have our annual skip trip in Feb instead of Jan.
Less mayo on BLT sub next time?
