May 2005 Meeting Minutes

May 17^th 2005

9^th annual International Dinner/ Spring Graduate Celebration

-July 10^th 2005 @ 5:30 pm in Lake Lansing Park NORTH

-Food: HOGS- burgers & dogs, good stuff to drink

Attendees- dish to pass from their native country

-Activities: Frisbee, Croquet, Softball, Volleyball, Prizes for raffle drawing and best dishes

-Tickets: Adults-$5, Kids-FREE, Spring Grads-FREE

Buy fromà Basement & 3^rd floor- Yufei Xu (A332)

1^st & 2^nd floors- Grant Jones (A224)

4^th & 5^th floors- Erin Hill (A430)

-30 tickets sold by June 3^rd or event canceled and $ reimbursed

IX International Controlled Atmosphere Research Conference

-July 4^th-10^th

-Contact Randy Beaudry (beaudry@msu.edu) to help with driving or registration desk

Fall Camping Trip

-Chicago or Pennsylvania to visit a botanical garden

Officer Nominations

-Due to low # of grad students some positions have been combined

-Also, to encourage more people to participate, all positions except Prez, Secretary/Treasurer/Webmaster, and Faculty Advisor will be served for half the year with new elections in December

-Nominations are open until June 13^th (to nominate someone or yourself for a position, please e-mail Erin (hiller12@msu.edu) or Roberto (lopezro4@msu.edu)
