Certificate Programs

The Institute for Food Laws and Regulations (IFLR) offers two specialized certificates in food law. The certificates recognize a student’s mastery of critical issues in food law and regulation.

Students earn a “Certificate in International Food Law” or a “Certificate in United States Food Law” upon successful completion of 12 credits from applicable online courses (usually four courses at three credits each). Courses may be taken in any order. Students may earn both certificates if desired. One course (three credits) may be applied toward both the “Certificate in International Food Law” and the “Certificate in United States Food Law.”

IFLR’s graduate-level courses are university accredited and are designed for professionals in the food industry. They are taught entirely online. All courses below are currently offered for three credits each. Click here for a printable version of the certificate requirements. IFLR has offered a "Certificate in International Food Law" since 1998 and introduced the "Certificate in United States Food Law" in 2017.
