Internship – Summer 2017

Full-time or part-time, paid internship positions are available throughout the growing season.  We are able to offer substantial training, direction, & guidance on design projects, client meetings, construction project management, material ordering, construction practices, landscape maintenance, annual installations, & much, much more.

We are interested in driven landscape design, horticulture, & landscape management students that are ready to bring themselves to a new level of knowledge and professionalism in a real working environment.

Work weeks range from 10-45 hours per week during the growing season and can accommodate spring, summer, and fall school schedules, appropriate vacations, etc.  In the same way that we work with our clients on an individual basis, we pride ourselves on our flexibility and ability to work with many different scenarios within our office setting.

Client Care Manager – Full Time Beginning Summer 2017

Milieu Design has an immediate opening for a client care manager. The client care managers at Milieu perform sales and production management for residential and commercial clients. This position is responsible for selling Milieu’s services in an upscale territory by providing horticultural recommendations, creative designs, proposals and presentations. This individual will have the opportunity to grow a territory with excellent marketing and advertising support.

This is a year-round position with responsibilities during the 8 month landscape season and 4 month snow removal season. The ideal candidate will have a formal education in landscape design, horticulture or horticultural background (or be in the process of obtaining a formal education). Experience with a landscape contractor is preferred. However, college students in pursuit of their degree/certification are encouraged to apply. Knowledge and/or experience with design, estimating, horticulture, turfcare, and installation is a plus. Excellent leadership and communications skills are required with the ability to meet deadlines consistently, be results-oriented and be able to effectively prioritize, manage, and achieve results while handling multiple projects, and be computer literate.
