WH Canon Landscape Company
Employment type: Seasonal
Job Location: East Lansing, MI
Application Deadline: September 30, 2016
WH Canon is a Michigan company that has excelled in providing a comprehensive range of services from landscape design through construction and maintenance. Our knowledgeable staff is dedicated to building lasting relationships that enhance our clients' business, the community and environment through professional and responsible landscape construction and management.
Our Construction division has led us to projects throughout the country, working for some of the nation's largest general contractors, but our main market is the State of Michigan where we have been constructing and maintaining some of the most difficult projects for the past twenty years. Among these projects are wetland restoration (Mallet's Creek), MDOT projects (1-96), Green Roofs (Ford Rouge Center), Hardscapes (Green Field Village), Brownfield re-development (Ford Rouge Center Streetscape), and artwork (University of Michigan Wave Field by Maya Lin) to name a few.
In 2016, WH Canon was able to add Michigan State University to its project list. Working for Walbridge (Michigan's top general contractor), WH Canon is installing the landscape for the new MSU Special Housing Needs - Spartan Village project, located at the intersection of Kalamazoo Street and Harrison Road. The work includes installation of bioswales, grass pavers, pavers, and foundation plantings.
WH Canon prides itself on quality installation and maintenance. In order to continue that quality, we are seeking an individual(s) to help maintain the landscape through the end of the year for the Phase I landscape. Phase II will commence next Spring and will be completed prior to the start of the 2017 fall semester, where we will again be looking to continue maintenance of the landscape.
Responsibilities will include:
Pay - $12.00/hr (WH Canon performs payroll weekly)
