The Urban Forestry Policy and Partnership Specialist leads policy development, program management and partnership development. The position provides principal staff expertise and critical analytical review to the urban forestry program by researching, developing and implementing statewide operational policy, and analyzing and evaluating the measures and implementation strategies, policies and tactics for the Urban Forestry program for the Division of Forestry. The customer base for this position includes Division Urban Forestry staff, three central office bureaus and four districts, as well as colleagues throughout the Department and key partner groups, including corresponding programs in the U.S. Forest Service, Wisconsin communities, non-profit organizations, foundations, and professional organizations related to or allied with urban forestry.
