Michigan Land & Prosperity Summit

From 2009-2012, the Land Policy Institute and the Michigan Land Use Funders co-hosted the annual Michigan Land & Prosperity Summit. This event series was devoted to restoring prosperity to Michigan and other areas of the country facing economic decline.

Michigan Land Use Summit

From 2004-2008, the Land Policy Institute hosted the Michigan Land Use Summit, which in 2009 became the Michigan Land & Prosperity Summit. With its grassroots approach, the Summit set a benchmark for land use discourse and multidisciplinary collaboration in Michigan. Each year, the Summit focused on timely issues, including regional planning, facilitating community revitalization, economic growth, land preservation and conservation, healthy and walkable communities, and improved quality of life through following smart growth and wise land use principles.
