Pan-African Conference 2016

The United Nations has declared 2016 International Year of Pulses (IYP). To celebrate this important moment the Pan-African Grain Legume Conference will be held jointly with the World Cowpea Conference in Livingston, Zambia. The dates for the conference are Sunday, 28 February 2016 to Friday, 4 March 2016. The Global Pulse Confederation is one of several partners actively working to prepare for this exciting event.

The official Link to the conference website is http://gl2016conf.iita.org/.  Additionally, the Legume Innovation Lab has created a special email address, Panafrican2016@anr.msu.edu, for all correspondence with the Legume Innovation Lab regarding the conference.

This conference will be the second of three conferences supported by the Legume Innovation Lab (LIL) during its 2013-2017 funding period. LIL and its partners will be making a concerted effort to encourage participation by grain legume scientists and graduate students from throughout Africa.
