Bureau of Food Security New Food Security Research Strategy Coming

The Bureau of Food Security will be releasing a new Food Security Research Strategy this week.

The Bureau of Food Security (BFS) will be releasing a new Food Security Research Strategy this week that will, among other matters, consider the following questions:

  • What will it take to adequately nourish 7.5 billion people in the short term, let alone almost ten billion in the decades to come?
  • How will we accomplish this without degrading dwindling supplies of arable land, fresh water, and other resources?

Addressing these issues lies at the heart of the U.S. Government’s investments in global food security. As soon at the new BFS Food Security Research Strategy is available, the Feed the Future Legume Innovation Lab will post a link to it along with a downloadable PDF.
