CANR Dean's Update - Oct. 16, 2017

A message from Ron Hendrick, dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

CANR Colleagues,

Thanks for attending one of the lunches over the past couple of weeks. I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know those of you who attended. We’ll likely do more of these in the future.

As we move further into this year, and my tenure, I am aware of the fact that change can be difficult for organizations like ours. It is my belief that when we work together with all of our resources, we are better able to impact real change in the world around us.

One significant change that we’re making is naming Jeff Dwyer Senior Associate Dean of Outreach and Engagement, in addition to his title as director of MSU Extension. This more fully represents Jeff’s role in providing leadership not just for formal Extension activities, but for outreach and engagement broadly across the college, and reflects how I see us operating as a true team in our research, teaching and outreach missions.

Please join us for the public presentations for the Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on the following dates and times:
