Great Lakes Expo takes place December 4-6 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Individuals who are looking at new commercial agricultural operations in fruit, vegetable, hops, hoop house, greenhouse, farm markets and related businesses will benefit by participating in Great Lakes Expo December 4-6 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

A tremendous opportunity awaits those who are giving serious consideration to starting a commercial fruit, vegetable or horticulture enterprise right here in Michigan in the form of Great Lakes Fruit Vegetable and Farm Market Expo and Michigan Greenhouse Growers Expo. Great Lakes Expo will be held December 4-6, 2012, at the DeVos Place Convention Center in downtown Grand Rapids.

Last year 4,000 people from 42 states and Canada participated in Great Lakes Expo’s educational sessions, tours, workshops and exhibit programs. A conference of this type allows extensive learning, and networking opportunities between established and novice growers. The four-acre exhibit space brings together the nation’s service providers, suppliers and equipment dealers in one place.

Among the many horticultural production and marketing topics to be addressed in 2012 are hoop houses and high tunnels, hops, wine grapes, blueberries, chestnuts and organic practices.
