Good Food Potluck and 6th Annual HomeGrown Local Food Summit

The March 31st event will focus on sharing cultures, perspectives, and experiences to unite participants around our local food movement and develop our capacity for positive change.

Both events at Morris J. Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College

This year, this summit is themed “Many Cultures, One Movement.” The March 31st event will focus on sharing cultures, perspectives, and experiences to unite participants around our local food movement and develop our capacity for positive change. Dynamic speakers and afternoon breakout sessions will highlight these  goals, and scrumptious local food will be served throughout the day.

To kickstart the summit’s diverse dialogue, a community event – the Good Food Potluck  & Film – will precede the summit on the evening of Sunday, March 30th. Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share, in addition to a well-loved recipe. Photographs of  these treats and treasures will be shared as the first-ever Local Food Summit cookbook. A  documentary film following the potluck will also spark discussions. Registration and more information about these events can be found here.
