Second annual Michigan Craft Beer Tasting and Food Pairing Reception.

On Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m., the B.O.B., Michigan State University Extension and the Michigan Brewers Guild will be hosting their second annual Craft Beer Tasting and Food Pairing Reception. A variety of Michigan beers will be paired with small food plates demonstrating the versatility of different beer styles while combining elements of the farm-to-table and farm-to-glass movements. The reception will take place at the B.O.B., just a short stroll from the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. For more information, please refer to “Special Events/Meetings” on page six of the GL Expo Conference brochure. New this year, participants will also have the opportunity to participate in team-based trivia event. All proceeds for this event will go to help fund MSU hops research and demonstration projects. The following day, December 9, 2015, from 9-11 a.m. Michigan State University Extension will host the Great Lakes EXPO hop session. The hop session is designed for both beginning and advanced growers as well as interested brewers.

MSU Extension encourages attendees to register for EXPO and this special event as soon as possible. GL EXPO registrants who pre-register can purchase reception tickets for at a price of $30. Tickets are limited. As a reminder, hotels in Grand Rapids during EXPO sell out quickly, if you are planning to attend, book early. Register for GLEXPO online by clicking this link.
