Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors’ Mark Bell and James Litwin to speak at April 20 SPDC Industry Seminar Series

The MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction is hosting the 11th Industry Seminar Series event Friday, April 20, at the Human Ecology Building on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing.

The MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction is hosting the 11th Industry Seminar Series event Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Human Ecology Building on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing.

The featured speaker is Mark Bell, CEO and co-founder of Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors, based in Chicago. James Litwin, vice president of construction, will also be co-presenting. They will present on “Transformational Developments – The Story of East Lansing’s City Center District.”

Bell’s diverse real estate background provides profound leadership strength to Harbor Bay. Prior to Harbor Bay, Mark worked as a developer for The Opus Group, in which he procured and helped lead various ground-up developments covering several different product types, totaling in excess of $200M.

Litwin is responsible to deliver new development and construction projects for the firm. His work begins after project opportunities are identified and the firm’s objectives for the development are established. He provides sound technical, budgetary and schedule guidance to the team. Litwin works under the direction of Mark Bell and is instrumental in developing community support for projects during the city approval processes.

The SPDC Industry Seminar Series consists of lectures by invited speakers who are industry leaders in the Built Environment profession. Past presenters include:

Joseph Maguire, president and CEO of Wolverine Development Corporation, serves as the facilitator of the Series.

This event is free and open to the public. The lecture will take place from 4-5 p.m. in Room 300 in the MSU Human Ecology Building in East Lansing. A reception follows the event.
