JLL’s Peter Riguardi to speak at Nov. 5 SPDC Industry Seminar Series

The MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction (SPDC) announces the next Industry Seminar Series event, slated for Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at the Human Ecology Building on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing.

The MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction (SPDC) announces the next Industry Seminar Series event, slated for Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at the Human Ecology Building on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing.

The featured speaker will be Peter Riguardi, president of JLL’s New York Tri-State Region. Rigaurdi will present on a The World Trade Center More than Just a Redevelopment. The JLL is a financial and professional services firm that specializes in commercial real estate services and investment management. He leads all operations for the company in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area. Riguardi is responsible for broadening the company’s New York platform by developing key client relationships, leading major projects, maintaining senior real estate industry contacts and political relationships, and recruiting new talent.

The JLL has 58,000 people across 230 corporate offices worldwide that serve the local, regional and global real estate needs of corporates and investors in more than 80 countries. Riguardi oversees a team of approximately 1,700 professionals in seven JLL offices throughout the tri-state.

The SPDC Industry Seminar Series consists of lectures and presentations by invited speakers who are industry leaders in the Built Environment profession. Past presenters include:

  • Ron Boji, president of The Boji Group;
  • Jay Smith, executive vice president of Construction Operations and Corporate Safety officer at The Christman Company;
  • Bob and Karen Schroeder, president and vice president, respectively, of Mayberry Homes; and
  • Pat Gillespie, chief visionary, founder and president of the Gillespie Group.

Joseph Maguire, President and CEO of Wolverine Development Corporation, and President and Co-Founder of the Society of Environmentally Responsible Facilities (SERF), was the most recent speaker and he serves as the facilitator of the Series.

This event is free and open to the public. The lecture will take place from 5-5:45 p.m. in Room 300 in the MSU Human Ecology Building in East Lansing. A reception sponsored by JLL will follow the lecture from 5:45-6:30 p.m.
