The School of Packaging is pleased to announce that three students have won scholarships from national associations.

Senior Kristina Hughes was given a $2000 award from the Society of Plastics Engineers. The SPE Foundation offers numerous scholarships to students who have demonstrated or expressed an interest in the plastics industry. They must be enrolled full time, and have a GPA of 2.8 or higher, which Kristina far exceeded.

Senior Shane Felix and junior Zachary Leimbach both were awarded scholarships from the J. Richard Troll Memorial Scholarship Fund, managed through Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) and the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF). Shane was the first place winner, earning a $3000 scholarship and a trip to the AICC’s annual meeting and Independent Packaging Design Competition in Fort Worth, TX. Zachary won third place in the competition, earning a $1000 scholarship.

Congratulations students, and Go Green!
