Prom and Salivo Bring Home Academic Honors

Crystal Prom received a NIFA Predoctoral Fellowship, and Juliet Salivo received the 2018 Summer Research Opportunities Program Best Oral Presentation Award.

NIFA recently announced recipients of Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowship grants as part of NIFA’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI). Among them was Crystal Prom (advisor Adam Lock) with her project “Improving Fatty Acid Absorption of Lactating Dairy Cows to Maximize Milk Production”.

Juliet Salivo received the 2018 Summer Research Opportunities Program Best Oral Presentation Award. Salivo, an undergraduate student in Dr. Almudena Veiga-Lopez’s lab, was mentored by Jeremy Gingrich on a project studying the effects of bisphenol S on gap junction intercellular communication.
