If that sounds like something you or your community could benefit from, then register today for the next ZAC Program, being offered now by the Land Policy Institute’s Planning & Zoning Center at MSU. The training will take place Jan. 18-19, 2018, at the Ramada Grayling Hotel and Conference Center in Grayling.

Who should attend? All new and current Zoning Administrators; along with private consultants, state agency field staff, and county planners who consult with local Zoning Administrators.

What does the course entail? There are eight modules included in the training program, leading to a certificate of completion for those that pass an exam associated with each module. Each module is 1.5–2.5 hours for a total of 17 hours of instruction. Learn more online.

Program Prerequisites (only if you want to receive a certificate): To be eligible for a certificate upon completion of this program, participants will need to have also completed the MSUE Michigan Citizen Planner Fundamentals of Planning & Zoning Program, either classroom-based or online (or be a certified planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners), and successfully pass a multiple choice examination.
