Michigan State University (MSU) Extension recently held their annual fall conference Oct. 25-26, 2016, in East Lansing. Every year, they recognize extension professionals and partners with awards during this event to celebrate the work of individuals and teams. This year, the Placemaking Team was nominated and received the Institute Team Award for their work and partnership with the MIplaceTM Partnership Initiative. The team developed the Placemaking Curriculum and trained more than 15,000 local officials, and authored the 600-page guidebook on Placemaking as an Economic Development Tool. This award recognizes an outstanding team contribution to MSU Extension. Team members include the Land Policy Institute’s Holly Madill and Mark Wyckoff; Wayne Beyea from the School of Planning, Design and Construction; and MSU Extension’s Brad Neumann, Kurt Schindler and Dean Solomon.
Please join us in congratulating these teams on their awards and efforts!
