Nutrition & Food Safety

MSU Extension offers free nutrition education to those that qualify.  Topics covered in classes include “My Plate & My Pyramid”, label reading, food safety, healthy snacks, basic nutrition and shopping smartly. Our nutrition instructors teach in a variety of settings with individuals across the lifespan, from preschoolers to older adults

Schools, Worksites, Childcare & Faith-Based Sites:

MSU Extension also offers technical assistance and coaching to eligible schools, worksites, childcare providers, and faith-based sites to create a positive wellness culture in these places with the goal of improving nutrition and physical activity supports through policy, system, and environmental initiatives.
