Al Hafner worked for the Michigan Department of Agriculture for over 30 years as a food technologist and more recently as an Instructor in the Institute for Food Laws & Regulations at Michigan State University. Mr. Hafner holds a Master's degree in Food Science from Michigan State University and is a consultant and frequent speaker on Michigan State and local food law and agriculture issues and is past president of the North Central Association of Food and Drug Officials, and the Great Lakes section of the Institute of Food Technologists.
