General areas of expertise:

Environmental chemistry and fate of xenobiotics, especially agricultural pesticides, in agricultural systems. Novel introduction of pesticides into plant systems and tracking the movement within the plant and environment.

Overview of current program:

Dr. Vandervoort’s research is in the broad areas of environmental chemistry and pesticide research. She works with various faculty and students in their research projects to implement defendable data for their needs. The laboratory accepts a wide range of samples to be analyzed for organic contaminants, metabolites, and other environmental chemical.
