Giorgia Bastianelli completed the Ph.D. Program in “Science, technology and biotechnology for sustainability” at the University of Tuscia (Italy); the thesis title is “ Impact of chestnut ‘brown rot’ by Gnomoniopsis castaneae and mycotoxin producing fungi on fruit production and quality: mitigation measures in open field and post-harvest“. She is working with Dr. Monique Sakalidis on the "Development and dissemination of practical methods that protect Michigan’s chestnut yields from brown rot" project.
