Biography: Kimberly Fake is interested in disease ecology, ecoimmunology, and one health. In 2010, she graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a B.S. in Animal Science. From 2011-2015, she performed research on the in vivo effects of DNA alkylating agents in the Samson Lab at MIT. Also during this time, she completed a second B.S. degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Fish and Wildlife Management at American Public University. As a member of the Avian Health and Disease Ecology Lab here at MSU, she is exploring how diet influences immune function and West Nile virus resistance of American robins.
