Chris Wilson has been a graduate student at the School of Packaging since 2014. In addition to his research, he teaches the undergraduate Packaging with Plastics laboratories. Chris currently serves as Co-President of the Packaging Graduate Association, and represents graduate interests on the SoP's Curriculum Committee. He co-authored a chapter on packaging materials in the upcoming textbook, Introduction to Food Packaging. During his undergraduate at MSU, Chris interned with Colgate-Palmolive and Pilot Systems International.

Research focus:
Currently, Chris is investigating the interactions between packaging distribution systems, packaging design decisions, and microbial growth in food products.  Chris previously contributed to multidisciplinary studies on global food loss and waste, the state of packaging education and industry in sub-Saharan Africa, and the effects of information technology on educational development in rural Tanzania.
