Biographical Information

As a development economist, I am interested in quantifying effects of public and private interventions that aim to stabilize negative income and health shocks experienced by rural workers.  My job market paper studies the spatial spillover effects of the world's largest public-works program on labor markets in India.  Using field data from a randomized trial in Nigeria, my other papers estimate the impact of malaria testing and treatment on agricultural labor productivity.  I am on the 2015-2016 job market and will be available for interviews at the APPAM Fall meeting in November and the annual AEA/ASSA meeting in San Francisco in January.
