Miss  Yangyao Yu, is a Professor, a council member of ECUST Academy Committee, a researcher of ECUST FDA Center, the executive director of Shanghai Law Society, and an expert of Shanghai government procurement project. She attached great importance to the combination of legal theory and legal practice, especially the application of legal theory in making laws and policies.  She has presided two programs entrusted by PRC Ministry of Education, and another consulting project entrusted by Shanghai government. She has also undertaken a lot of food-law-related projects, such as Research on the Adjusting of Law for the Prevention and Administration of Chemicals in China (2001-2004), Research on the Law of the Supervision of Food Chemical Additives (2012-2014) (Ministry of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences project), Research on Eliminating Domestic and Oversea Differences to Enforce Food GMP (2012) (key project of Shanghai Municipal Committee of Jiusan Society), Research on the draft of Food safety Twelfth Five Year Plan of Baoshan District, Shanghai (2012) (Food Safety Office of Baoshan District, Shanghai).  She has published the Comparison and Reference: Features and New Development of American Food Safety Supervision and Legal Nature and Tool of Consumer Warning in Food Safety on national core journals in 2012.  She also published Research on the Regulatory System for the Prevention and Supervision of Chemicals in China (2006) as well as some studies entrusted by local and international companies.
