Cultivar Evaluation

Evaluation of new sweet cherry cultivars for fresh market and processing production is conducted at the Northwest Michigan Horticultural Research Center, the Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center, and the Clarksville Research Center. Multiple tree plantings of new or potential cultivars for Michigan are maintained at each research farm and horticultural and fruit quality traits are measured.
