Economic Impacts of Local Food Systems: Future Research Priorities, is a research commentary found in the July 2013 issue of the Journal of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Community Development.  Prepared by Jeffrey O'Hara of the Union of Concerned Scientists and Rich Pirog of CRFS, this commentary addresses the types of local food economic impact studies that have been conducted, identifies criteria by which the effectiveness of these studies can be evaluated, and discusses future research opportunities.
