This paper discusses ways to support city food systems in the global South in the context of rapidly changing environments.  Three main areas for inclusive and integrated planning practices and innovation are suggested: 1) Livelihood and Income, 2) Infrastructure and Markets, and 3) Resilient Supply Chains.  In addition, the paper proposes ways to more fully consider the role of urban agriculture in relation to other city food provisioning practices.
