DOS Payroll Printing Queries

This software program is being supported through the 2005 tax year. All users are being encouraged to select the PENSOFT® PAYROLL PLUS or PENSOFT® PAYROLL PLUS PROFESSIONAL for future payroll needs.

How can I print from my old DOS Payroll for years prior to changing to Pensoft?

1. Do you still have a DOS compatible parallel printer or can you borrow one? If Yes, use it. If No, read on.
2. What do you need printed?
3. If W2s are needed, is magnetic media acceptable? We do have a limited number of W2 forms available for 2004 and 2005. Directions for this and getting a W3 or 6559 of pdf image DOS Printer document (4 pages) - manageable.
4. Most of the Payroll reports have a print to file capability. Then the file can be opened in Word or Notepad and printed. Directions for each of the reports are on pages 2 and 3 of pdf image DOS Printer document (4 pages) - manageable. The reports that can be printed to a file include selections 3, 7,10 and 14.
5. Print screen capture can be done, but this may be difficult and tricky especially if several screens are needed. Directions are on bottom page 3 of pdf image DOS Printer document (4 pages).
6. Send the backups to Telfarm with instructions on which reports are needed, reports will be printed and mailed back. There will be an appropriate fee charged for time and services. Make prior arrangement with Telfarm before sending your backups. This could be used with DOS Accountant programs.
7. There are DOS to USB utilities. This should not be attempted by someone with weak computer skills and little patience - Exceedingly Difficult. Suggestions on page 4 of DOS Printer document (4 pages). This could possibly be used with DOS Accountant programs.
